Great Powder

If you are just looking for one or two days off-piste guiding then together with one of our experienced guides we can take you there.

For skiers and boarders looking to go off-piste around Kicking Horse, we take you into the endless powder bowls adjacent to the resort. We ride lifts high into the alpine and then go into the backcountry. With only a small amount of hiking*, we find ourselves on top of 1000ft couloirs, 3500ft powder runs, and untouched snow fields. We then have an amazing run, or maybe two, before traversing back to the resort to start it all over again.

If you are looking for a guide to take you to the legendary Roger's Pass or one of the many backcountry huts in he national parks of British Columbia or wish more than one day of guiding, please contact us for more information and prices.

When you book our private guiding service we can help achieve your goals. You might want to be shown the extreme couloirs of Kicking Horse or be an improving skier or boarder wanting some deep powder techniques and avalanche education.

Our highly trained guides have extensive first aid and avalanche certifications as well as an extensive knowledge of the guiding area. If you are lookng to include an instructor with your off-piste skiing or boarding then we can also help.

Prices below are for guiding services based out of Kicking Horse resort.

All guests going into the backcountry are required to wear an avalanche transceiver as well as carry a small backpack containing an avalanche probe and small rescue shovel. If guests are not familiar with backcountry safety equipment Canadian Powder Skiing Adventures guides will take sufficient time to make guests comfortable before proceeding into the backcountry. Guests are also encouraged to wear an ABS avalanche safety backpack of which we are a dealer. Backcountry safety equipment is available for rent from Canadian Powder Skiing Adventures.
